Project description: The Consumer Confidence Project (CCP) is a volunteer-led effort that is housed within the Oregon Public Health Institute in Portland. The CCP will evaluate CCOs based on the following consumer-oriented aspects of Oregon’s healthcare transformation: accessibility of information; responsiveness to members and community; transparency of governance; and person-centeredness.

The CCP will publish its findings in a comparison format, much like a Consumer Reports product review. Rather than choosing a “winner,” or “best CCO,” this report will compare CCOs side-by-side in multiple categories so that CCO members can see how their CCOs perform relative to other CCOs. The goals of this project are to encourage CCOs to improve their focus on their members and to provide an additional source of information for CCO members about the resources and services available through their CCOs.

Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be able to attend two of the three data collection sessions
  • Volunteers should be comfortable using a computer and the Internet, and know the basics ofhow to navigate a webpage
