From the OHA:

The Oregon Health Authority is seeking candidates for nomination to the newly established Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Committee members serve at the pleasure of the OHA Director and are charged with tasks designed to help the agency increase the quality and lower the costs of health care.

Created by legislation during the 2011 session, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee will advise the Oregon Health Authority in the selection and establishment of a Preferred Drug List for Medicaid drug benefits. The committee also is charged with reviewing prescribing practices in the state and recommending policies and procedures to improve how prescription drugs are prescribed and dispensed to Oregonians.

The committee will fulfill their responsibilities by participating in public meetings, and reviewing and analyzing the presented information. Their well-informed decisions and recommendations will help OHA fulfill its mission of improved quality healthcare, improved health for Oregonians and sustainable costs.

The committee will be made up of eleven individuals including five doctors and four pharmacists. The doctors and pharmacists must be licensed to practice in Oregon and actively practicing their profession. The two additional positions will be filled by individuals who are neither a doctor nor a pharmacist.

Due to the need to have the P&T Committee begin its work as soon as possible, applications should be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 21. Anyone interested in serving on the P&T Committee should send an e-mail to dmap.rxquestions@state.or.us, attn: Roger Citron. Applications should include contact information and a resume. Candidates should be prepared to fill out a conflict of interest statement.
