Are you available for extra duty when we need quick help?

If you are willing to be contacted more often than our regular supporters, then we need you to join our Rapid Response Team.

What exactly does that mean?

The political pace doesn't always allow for much breathing room and sometimes it requires more than just an email response. Sometimes breaking news or legislation needs a swift and rapid response (hence the name). We want those of you who can, to be part of a team that can act immediately when there's late breaking news in Salem or Washington.

Your job after that: pick up your phones and call your legislator in response. After that call, pick the phone back up and call your best friend and ask them to make the next call, and so on. Don't worry, we'll help out with a sample message or bullet points.

Not every event in Salem is going to require us sending an email blast to our entire membership. That's why we want to make sure we have this cadre of members ready to strike. In essence we're asking for you to be one of our "go to" people in a time of need. It's like a giant Archimedes Movement phone tree. Or like a clearly focused version of Howard Beale in the 1976 movie Network, only with a plan of action.
