Senate Health Committee Hearing on SB 27: The Oregon Better Health Act

The Senate Special Committee on Health Reform is holding a public hearing on SB 27: The Oregon Better Health Act.

Former Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber, MD will testify at this hearing. Joining him will be the bill’s chief sponsor, Senator Betsy Johnson (D-Scappoose). They will give testimony and answer questions about Senate Bill 27, the Oregon Better Health Act. The OBHA creates the Oregon Health Fund to improve efficiency of health-care spending, and it creates a board to define a “core benefit” of health-care that every Oregonian would receive.
