The response to the call for nominees for our Community Leadership Council was overwhelming. Overall we had close to 40 nominees for the at-large and chapter positions on the Council and every person nominated brought great strengths, community connections and a desire to work hard to help us reach our goals. Several members wrote to us as they voted to share their thoughts:
"The quality of candidates for the leadership council is overwhelming. All candidates will be valuable to the Archimedes Movement regardless of the outcome of the council vote. Making a decision on which six candidates to vote for is difficult but yet easier knowing that there are so many qualified candidates. I can only thrive to create a balance of diversity between passionate laypeople and concerned professionals."
"Thanks for this opportunity to review a field of such passionate candidates. It was an interesting life story I was looking for, and these six appear to be the most compelling."
"This is hard! What great candidates to choose from."
