Marvin Hines is a native Oregonian with a PhD in Biochemistry. For seven years he was a faculty member at the University of Oregon Medical School.

In addition, he is the author of academic and industry research papers and the owner/operator of a heating and air conditioning business (retired)

Marvin has been involved with the Archimedes Movement since April, 2006, and was a member of the committee to establish the Archimedes Movement Principles and the Interim Steering Committee.
