Newspaper and a blogger: Dems Back Off Health Care Promises

Hi Everyone,

I think some of you might be interested in reading this blog about Democratic party leaders and health care reform. Basically, this blog makes it sound like either some Democratic party leaders have been nicely bought off, or they are just too soft to believe that what is necessary is also possible. The blogger, and the newspaper he was writing about, are claiming that some important congresspersons would not support universal access to health care, even if we elect a President who strongly favors it.

This is really unsettling, at the same time however, it really affirms what we are doing here with the Archimedes Movement. As you can read on my blog, I strongly support Obama because I believe he is most likely to bring fundamental change to our health care system and our country. We should remember though that he can't do it alone, the Clintons can't do it alone, neither can McCain or even the entire Congress. It takes a movement, as the blogger I linked to so nicely put it. It takes US. Thank you all for being part of this movement with me; I'll see you at the member meeting on June 14th (sign up here).

Cheers,
Isaac
