Description of this committee, from the Structure for Growth & Action:
Develop fundraising strategies and leadership, review annual budget and proposed salaries, approve annual membership dues levels/categories. It is quite common for development (funding) and finance (money management) committees to be separate entities. We could suggest this committee decide when to split into two, or leave that to the Community Leadership Council.
Projects and activities currently include:
- events (donor appreciation, educational & fundraising)
- letter campaigns and phone banks
- grantseeking
- membership drives
- increasing name/mission recognition through media and community presence
