A recent incident on a Delta Airlines flight has sparked sharp criticism of professional racial discrimination and a tidal wave of social media response. Dr. Tamika Cross, a physician and black woman, alleged in a social media post that on the flight she volunteered to tend to a sick patient, but a member of the flight crew dismissed her and said they were looking for “actual physicians and nurses.” Cross’s Facebook post has spurred thousands of comments and the #WhatDoctorsLookLike. At the Oct. 28 Friday Forum, local physicians will discuss discrimination, profiling, diversity and equity in health care
