City club of Portland is hosting a conversation about Universal Health Care on January 19 at Kell’s Irish Pub. Learn more here.

Does universal health care stand a chance in Oregon? Is universal health care even desirable? What would universal health care mean for our state budget? For our employers? For our economy?

This open discussion among audience members will start with a brief presentation by Samuel Metz, a Portland physician. Guests will be State Senator Michael Dembrow, sponsor of an upcoming bill to establish universal care in Oregon and State Rep. Barbara Smith Warner, sponsor of a bill to fund a previously enacted study of financing universal care in Oregon.
