In March of 2007, John Kitzhaber, MD, (governor of Oregon from 1995-2003 and elected again in 2010) addresses over 200 supporters on the steps of the Oregon Capitol, to mark the introduction of Oregon Senate Bill 27, the Oregon Better Health Act. Parts of this bill were incorporated into HB 2009, which passed in 2009.
